Following the feedback on our original blog post about finding the right date for PHP Unconference Europe in Manchester, UK, we realize that there were some serious clashes with other PHP and Open Source events (FOSDEM, PHPBenelux and PHP UK). We want to avoid this at all costs.

What is the right date for PHP Unconference Europe? Our goal is that the event takes place on 29 to 30 January 2011. Please contact us, if you know of any good (PHP) reasons for another date.

Last night, the organizers of PHP Unconference Europe met up via Skype to talk about the next steps. New todo lists were distributed and the current status was discussed.

The organizers of PHP Unconference Europe are meeting on November 21, 2009 and November 22, 2009 to discuss some initial ideas and to reflect on what we have already discussed with the community. No doubt, we will have a fun-filled weekend!

We would like to establish PHP Unconference Europe in 2010 (PHPucEU 2010). We are currently soliciting opinions on this idea. Please answer the following questions in the comments section below or using the contact form:

1. What is the intention of the people who attend such an event?
2. Describe in a few words what you expect from a European PHP unconference.
3. Where should the event take place?
4. In which season should the event take place?
5. How many participants would you expect?
   
6. Where will most delegates come from?
7. Would you be interested in assisting with the organization of the event?
   How much time are you able to invest?
8. Who should we ask these questions?
