Thinking about PHP Unconference Europe
We would like to establish PHP Unconference Europe in 2010 (PHPucEU 2010). We are currently soliciting opinions on this idea. Please answer the following questions in the comments section below or using the contact form:
- What is the intention of the people who attend such an event?
- Describe in a few words what you expect from a European PHP unconference.
- Where should the event take place?
- In which season should the event take place?
- How many participants would you expect?
- Where will most delegates come from?
- Would you be interested in assisting with the organization of the event?
How much time are you able to invest? - Who should we ask these questions?
Please leave your name and e-mail address in the comments below, so that we can get in touch with you for further information, if necessary.

There are only two reasons, IMHO, that people go to (un)conferences:
1. To learn something new.
2. To network.
In particular, at an unconferences, speakers who are not established get a chance to speak and present new ideas. Fresh speakers; fresh ideas!
> Where should the event take place?
I think there are two key points here:
1. The location must be very easily reachable from the EU and US.
1.1. There must be at least one (ideally, many more) low-cost airline that flies there.
2. Accommodation very near by must not be too expensive (EUR 40 to EUR
60 per night).
