#PHPucEU 2013: starting by ....

The organizers of the #PHPucEU have started to plan the PHP Unconference 2013. Good news: thePHP.cc is going to support again the event as Gold sponsor.

We learnt last year, that there exists an excited and enthusiastic PHP audience in Europe. We would like to repeat the success of the PHPucEU 2011.

But we need your support: we are looking for a fitting town, a nice venue .... and a date.

So..., your ideas are welcome!

I would prefer a city that is easily reachable by airplane (or by car from central europe) and cheap. Last year Manchester was too expensive for me, flight + hotel + ticket > 500 Euro is too much for a private person for 1,5 days I think.

But at the moment I don't have a specific city in my mind...

What about Hamburg again? It lies in the center of Europe, has an international airport and is still small enough to enable other experiences as well.
In addition you have a couple of Informatics departments (for example: University of Hamburg, University for Applied Sciences Hamburg, etc.).

We decided to travel through Europe with the PHPucEU. We started in Great Britain. Our 2nd PHPucEU takes place in Germany.
The annual PHP Unconference Germany is located in Hamburg - we don't want to compete with this event. So we looked for a venue in a town with an international airport. A

nd it seems, that we get the option to use some rooms of the Free University of Berlin. So, Berlin is our choice ;-)
